Terrance O’Nasse passes through the gateway made of bone and ivory. In one step, he passes from the world where he was born and where he belongs into the demon web pit. In one step, Terrance crosses into the Abyss.

This is not Terrance’s first time in the Abyss. He has stood before the throne of the six-fingered lord himself, an experience that scarred his mind and soul.

However, since his last time in the Abyss, Terrance has changed. He has taken up the mantle of a glory knight and now holds the orb of faith. He has left behind his old views of order and law and chosen instead to carry the banner of good.

And the Abyss knows it. Terrance can feel the very nature of the world claw at him, trying to reject him and all that he stands for. The ground beneath his feet seems to murmur and the air stings his lungs. The Abyss recognizes his choice to fight for good and it hates him for that choice.

What can one man do against the Abyss, an infinite number of worlds devoted to chaos and to evil, a world of demons and torment?

He can stand against it.
