"He already knows." Maltorc says walking into the chamber.

A world away, Maltorc speaks these words to his followers, as other things transpire in the City of Greyhawk.

Three hulking figures, seemingly made of rough cut stone run out of an alley near a well know weapon shop. The creatures bear the marks of many battles, and plates of stone hang from them like a strange form of armor.

The four dwarves returning to work from lunch are caught completely unaware. The stone men barely slow their bursting into the shop, smashing the door to splinters.

The blocky figures run through the shop and kill several more dwarves before running out, back the way they came, into a fog bank.

"This cowardly attack shall not go unpunished!" Said Maltorc Wulfram through gritted teeth as he spoke to town guards and their captains.
This came after an apparent spree of violence against his shop located in the market district of Greyhawk City. Though Maltorc Wulfram does not work in the shop, he leaves the day to day activites to his elder son Clavor. Clavor was not present for comment.
Maltorc Wulfram had this to add,"This is an attempt to threaten people like myself who are born different. I am partially of fiendish heritage, this is widely known. And this attack is consistant of the ongoing message of the day, that those of fiendish bloodlines are not welcome here. We did not pick our heritage. No more than a man picks being Suel, or Oerdian, or Flan. But we are being targeted by those fearful of our differances."

Druids in the Vesve report that the men made of wood and metal are indeed constructs. They are composed of wood and steel and of some degree of intelligence. Being as they are wood, the druids attempted to affect them with their powers, but they resisted. "These machines of destruction are only a first wave." Said the arch druid in charge of the forces in the area.

In the city of Greyhawk it was announced today that the completion of a maximum security prison, Granite Mountain, has been completed. The prison was being prepared ever since the end of the war two years ago by members of the Circle of Eight, closely working with the church of St. Cuthbert, and sanctioned by Nerof Gasgol, Lord Mayor of Greyhawk. The prison lies within the Lortmil Mountains nearer the Kron Hills. The exact location is being kept a secret but it has been announced that it is meant to house some of the worlds most notorious criminals.
The prison has been touted as being inescapable. The wards and protections to the place can keep anyone but a deity within.
The rationale for creating a prison like this was come up with by Mordenkainen. He said as the prison was announced, "The world is filled with enemies with powers and abilities not unlike our own. They have vast resources and merely executing them would not guarantee their destruction. This way they could be imprisoned and kept from escaping and causing havoc."
The prisons minimum sentence is one calendar year. Sources would not specify why this is suffice it to say, no prisoner that enters would be capable of leaving at anytime before that.
A list of Greyhawks most wanted was released with this announcement as well.
1. Rary the Traitor, for treason and murder. Tried in lieu of absence. Sentenced to Life.

A court hearing is being arranged today as per the condition of prisoners incarcerated before the building of Granite Mountain Prison. The hearing will determine whether or not prisoners serving sentences currently for crimes warranting incarceration at Granite Mountain should be transferred there and finish out their sentences.
One of the more prominent prisoners is Gawain Blacksilver of the Church of Pholtus for the crime of sedition. A year ago he spoke openly about the removal of outer planar beings from our society. Those touched by what he called the 'Infernus' should be rounded up and removed from our "plane of existence." The Tower of Light (formerly the Tower of Glory) is lobbying for his release saying "He was only preaching the tenants of the church and its views on evil outsiders.
A spokesperson for the Tower had this to say,"If Lord-Mayor Gasgol wants to incarcerate priests for doing their duties then he might as well add every church in Greyhawk to his list of illegal religions. Father Blacksilver was only telling people what they already know in their hearts. We know that those touched by the lower planes are inherently drawn to evil. We have seen it hundreds of times. Father Gawain was expressing an opinion and incentive to those willing to put forth the effort to clean up our world. Were any of the priests of Rao arrested after they performed their ritual which banished chaos from the Flanaess? I understand it affected some celestials as well as demons. Are they too in violation for doing something proactive against the forces that are trying to damn our world?"
The Lord-Mayor has no comment about this situation.

Admunfort restored! Months after the forces of the Shield Lands, Furyoundy and the Glory Knights took back the city from 'Ole Wicked' the rebuilding process is completed. Aiding them were Mortimer Fayde, Tenser, Artur Jakarti, Franz of the Holy Shielding and the government of Greyhawk. "Funding from Greyhawk and from Furyoundy made things easier." Said Tenser in a rare moment of calm, "I called in a few favors of some of the good people in Greyhawk and asked them to donate what they could."
Many Shield Landers have been living in Greyhawk city since the end of the war in shanty towns all around the city. Overpopulation has been at an all time high in Greyhawk and they will be glad of the relief. The city of Admunfort will join the many city states trying to reclaim their homelands from 'Ole Wicked'.
Lord-Mayor Nerof Gasgol said openly that he is glad to see the people of Shield Lands leaving, "I am glad to see them go. It is a sign that things are heading in a more positive direction."
Franz, Lord of Torkeep and Knight of the Holy Shielding will be placed in charge of the city until safety can be maintained against insurgents and the like.
"The city is under martial law at the moment." Franz said,"We must be on constant guard against the forces of the Old One. Also we are to watch for the talons of the Hierarchs. They will also seek to charm their way into our midst by claiming a sort of kinship. We must not be fooled. The aid of Artur Jakarti and the Glory Knights has been invaluable. Tenser has been a source of great wisdom to us and has opted to stay and help with things."
Tenser added this last piece of information before departing, "Now we must turn our attentions to the Vesve and our brothers and sisters there who have been fighting and dying since the so-called cease fire years ago. There has been no peace there and the Old One has burned and destroyed a good chunk of its northeastern portion. We must not allow him to go any farther. I beseech any and all adventurers to come north and take the fight to the Old One. We also must not turn our guard away from those evils that encroach from the shadows. The Hierarchs, The Pomarj and Turrosh Mak, the Scarlet Brotherhood and their racial agenda, Rary and his evil dreams of a one world under his control. And closer to home we must be encouraged to look farther into the minds of those who claim they are looking out for us, such as Gawain Blacksilver and his racist rants. King Scotti of Keoland and his efforts to reclaim an empire that has long since crumbled. It is true, there is much afoot and we need all the help we can muster in these dark times."

Gawain Blacksilver has been released by order of the Lord-Mayor Gasgol of Greyhawk. He was found in contempt of court for refusing to resign his offer of gold to those brave enough to try and capture a small list of fiends he announced. He did in fact recall the offer of gold as he believes it called upon peoples greed rather then doing what is right. He was about to be tried for sedition, the charges were dropped the moment he renounced his reward offering. He has returned to the former Tower of Glory, no called the Tower of Light. He has stated that those wishing to further the cause of righteousness shall receive help from the worshipers of Pholtus in the form of scrolls, potions, and spells to aid them in their efforts. However those seeking aid must allow themselves to be placed under the spell influence Quest to ensure honesty.
"This practice was inspired by Lord Tenser, former member of the Circle of Eight." Father Blacksilver stated, "If the Lords of Greyhawk have issue with that, then I shall expect a warrant for my and Lord Tensers arrest to be signed in unison."

The city of Greyhawk is abuzz with the news of Father Gawains decree that the Tower of Glory is now an embassy to the Pale. The lands owned by the church of Pholtus originally have changed hands many times. The deed to the land has however never changed. The church of Pholtus has claimed the temple proper and surrounding lands. Also all temples to the god of light have been claimed as embassies. This came about as a result of the successful capture of Matthias Van Trump AKA Matthias Wulfram wanted by Keoland authorities for crimes of importation of illegal substances and slave trade. When Greyhawk officials came to collect the notorious criminal, they were told that the tower was sovereign land and that the Keolandish government would be received to collect their felon. At the same moment Lord-mayor Gasgol was informed of this in Greyhawk city by a retinue of the Pale emissaries.

The Tower of 'Light' welcomes the arrival of Pholmieus "The Sin-Eater". His arrival signals a change in the atmosphere around the Gnarley Forest. He had these words, "The tendency of the peoples in the world to turn a blind eye to the evils in the land must be addressed. We know who these individuals are and where they dwell. We would not hesitate to rid the world of a dragon if it lived near us. Fiends in our midst are more dangerous then any drake. They are the serpent, ever in our ears telling us to do things that seem fine until more and more we see that we have become their slave. They must be dealt with. They must be removed from these lands. They are the living proof that there is sin the world. And sins must be purged."
